Mister President and Dear Friend,
I would like to congratulate you for the honourable action that you lead in favour of peace and reconciliation between the Israeli and Palestinian people, and generally between the Jewish and Arabs in Israel and Europe .
The bringing together of the civil societies is fundamental for the establishment of an open dialog, and cooperation in the cultural, economic and political domains is the essential base of a better future. As a unified and equal Europe , it can be a real partner in the realisation of these ambitions.
This is why I strongly hope that you find the necessary means to accomplish this important task in which you have already invested greatly.
I would be ready to welcome, as I have done last year, a delegation of young Israeli and Palestinian entrepreneurs who you invite to Paris at the end of the month of April 2005, in association with the Jewish and Arab Centre for Economic Development and the Palestinian Institute for Development.
